Maria Menounos displays her sculpted legs in a thigh-skimming sweater dress and sexy over-the-knee boots

Maria Menounos put a saucy spin on the fall favourite sweater dress on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old TV personality was seen posing in Theory's sleeveless grey turtleneck mini while arriving back at E! studios in Los Angeles, California.

She heated things up by sporting sexy black over-the-knee boots, created by Stuart Weitzman, with her knitwear.

Maria's brunette locks were slicked back and flowing down, as her face was made up with a soft palette of make-up.

The Massachusetts native had just come from a taping of her radio show, Conversations With Maria Menounos, on Sirius Radio in Los Angeles.

She appeared to have a wardrobe change, previously seen sharing a snap of her talk show ensemble alongside guest, former Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr.

'Laughter & tears with itsmejessicaszohr today on SiriusXM #Conversations109 - if you missed our conversation, get it on demand on Siriusxm.com,' Maria wrote on Instagram with a snap of the two.

The news anchor and author stepped into the shoes of former host Giuliana Rancic at E! News in August.

And she recently took the opportunity to set the record straight about taking over E! News from Giuliana - insisting she didn't steal anyone's job.

After replacing the long-time anchor, Maria told Redbook magazine's October issue that she didn't push Giuliana off the show.

Maria insisted she has a 'pretty strict code' of ethics when it comes to work.

'When I was being sought after by E!, I made it very clear to them that I didn't want to be coming over to take somebody's job. And I was assured that wasn't the case,' Maria said.

'I remember years ago, I was asked to replace someone with a sick child. I was young and it would have been a huge job for me, but I told them I couldn't take it.

'I have a pretty strict code with these kinds of things. If a guy beats another guy out for job, it's like, ''Hey, congratulations''. With women, it's a different story,' she added.

High fashion and unfashionably late stars at ‘Miss You Already’ screening

I was told, “Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette, stars of ‘Miss You Already,’ plus VIPs Ed Norton, Cuba Gooding, Nicole Miller, Kick Kennedy, arrive 6 p.m.” Host Andrew Saffir didn’t. Nobody showed until 7ish. I sat alone in empty MoMA.

Earliest arrival, Lee Radziwill. Skinnier than my house key and seeming frail. Next, June Ambrose, Jay Z’s stylist. Someone whispered, “She’s wearing a Balmain that hasn’t come out yet.” And shouldn’t. Too short, too tight, too gold-embroidered. Also, she kept pulling up her crotch-high boots.

Down-to-earth Drew Barrymore actually kneeled down to chat. “I’m wearing Stella McCartney.” Stunning Drew’s dark appliquéd gown was a knockout. Also knocked out was the front, which showed everything but her scrapbook. Laughing, she tugged it closed. Said Toni Collette: “She’s shy. Not a tit kind of girl.”

Drew: “Who knows if this gown’s mine for keeps or not? I didn’t ask. Stella’s my dear friend. I love her. Friends play a big part in my life. This film’s about valuing friendship. Two women. I have two daughters. In the end, friends are all you have. Women put one foot in front of another. They’re heroes in life.”

The gorgeous gown was form-fitting. She manage to eat anything? “Please. I had lunch at Pastrami Queen. Big deli sandwich.”

Collette: “I play a charismatic, complicated woman who relies on those around her when becoming ill. We had lots of input so as not to mess up. I even checked with a family member who had a similar condition, and it’s a bitch.

“In the movie, I have a double mastectomy scene. It wasn’t as bad as you’d imagine because I actually have nothing up there to show in the first place.”

Jacqueline Bisset: “I play a small part. A flaky actress dingbat who annoys her daughter, with whom she hasn’t a good relationship. But what’s consuming me now is politics. I can’t stand what’s happening. Everything’s so difficult. I follow, but I get upset. I speak to about 15 people a day. All about politics. I like Obama. He’s so distinguished. And I respect everything Obama does.”

You a Democratic voter?

“I live in California, but I can’t vote. I’m British.”

Not that I’m one to brag…

Pardon — but back while every newscaster, reporter, pollster burbled about will-Biden-won’t-Biden, and before he weaseled out, I told you — flat-out! — he’s going no place. Not like I didn’t think so. I knew. Too old, too chicken, too often he tried and lost, too standoffish in terms of romancing fund-raisers and contributions. He just wanted limelight. I told you!

Pregnant Tamsin Egerton is super chic in figure-hugging little black dress as she cosies up to Donna Air at glam dinner

She's expecting her first child in a couple of months, and has been showing off an enviable pregnancy wardrobe since the summer.

And as Tamsin Egerton hit the Baccarat/1 Hotel Dinner at One Horse Guards in London on Wednesday night, the British actress and girlfriend of US star Josh Hartnett was again looking effortlessly chic.

Tamisin, 26, kept her look simple in a little black dress which showed off her neat baby bump as she enjoyed the glam dinner with the likes of Donna Air.

The blonde beauty looked gorgeous in her knee-length number which featured a flirty pleated skirt and three quarter length sleeves.

Party hopper: Donna, pictured with Roy Luwolt, was hitting her second event of the night, after enjoying the Very.co.uk fashion presentation with her daugther Freya earlier in the evening

The high-necked frock was teamed with classic black heels and a chain-length shoulder bag.

Tamsin left her long blonde locks loose and swept back from her face to accentuate her pretty features, adding a touch of lip gloss and shimmering eyeshadow.

Tamsin and Josh, who have been together since 2012 after meeting on the set of their film The Lovers, are happily counting down the days till they welcome their first child.

Josh and the model-turned-actress started dating shortly after he was in a romance with American actress Amanda Seyfried.

The US actor and Brit beauty now split their time between Dublin, where Josh films his hit TV show Penny Dreadful for six months of the year, and London where Tamsin has a home.

Josh's representative confirmed their baby joy in July, by tellingPage Six: 'It's true and they are beyond thrilled.'

Just a few months before the news broke, 37-year-old Josh revealed he was looking forward to being a father.

He told Playboy: 'I have to get a car that's safe for my kid. I don't have a kid yet, but that's the idea coming into my head these days.'

While Tamsin was without her man on Wednesday, she did mingle with a glam crowd, including Donna Air.

The TV star was looking gorgeous in a peacock print midi-length dress, which highlighted her svelte figure.

With a pair of brown satin pumps and a clutch to finish off the ensemble, Donna left her glossy blonde locks in loose waves as she hit her second event of the night, after enjoying the Very.co.uk fashion presentation with her daughter Freya.

paź 21 2015 Seoul Fashion Week

Drowned Dragons at R.Shemiste and a Kanye-Style Show at Supercomma B

The final days of Seoul Fashion Week tend to lack some punch, as the heavy weekend crowds must return to work and school. This season, designers made up for any lack of buzz by doubling down on themes. The results? A day filled with sometimes complex, often curious clothes—good fun, all in all.

Big Park is a family venture: Veteran designer Park Youn Soo launched the label three years ago with his daughters, Sooy and Jay Park, who both studied at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion. They began with the idea of a Lost Garden, or the slow destruction of untrammeled nature by urban development. Exaggerated branches and Surrealist plants—misshapen, as though they’d mutated from pollution—were appliquéd, patchworked, and printed on silk chiffon blouses and midi skirts; folkloric florals came embroidered on ruffles, and running up flares. There was velvet—black ribbons worn as chokers and hairbands—and dazzling emerald green prairie boots that resembled forest moss crossed with nuclear waste, in the best way.

Nature took a different tack at R.Shemiste, where denimhead designers Jiyeun Won and Jooho Lee were inspired by Katsushika Hokusai, the Edo-era ukiyo-e painter. Hair was left wet and stringy, as though models had emerged from the sea after being hit by The Great Wave Off Kanagawa; one even walked barefoot. White dragons embroidered on sleeves had threads left dangling, which clung to the garments like strands of seaweed, and there were keyholes on the backs of shirts that mimicked submarine windows. Blue and white tops with exaggerated cuffs had sleeves dripping in pearls—perhaps a subtle allusion to Hokusai’s infamous Dream of the Fisherman’s Wife? Whatever the reference, the result was striking.

Over at Jarret, Ji Youn Lee went all in on apples. There were bright red ones perched on chairs for snacking, and the letter A was stamped on basketweave slingback flats. Abstract hand drawings of apple halves, melting like Dalí clocks, covered sheer tops and crisp white blazers, while the word Apple was embroidered in funky script on sweatshirts and scrawled on ribbon tags that sprung from shoulders and hips. The standout interpretation, however, was the simplest: a two-piece set in candy-apple red.

Designer Bonnie Lee is best known for the inventive footwear she turns out at Suecomma Bonnie; the sophomore Fashion Week outing of Supercomma B, her unisex streetwear line, felt a great deal like Kanye West’s turn at Adidas, at least at first. To start, muted materials were punctuated by shocks of color in retro ’80s style. Halfway through the show, hip-hop power couple Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae took a turn down the runway, signaling a move toward oil-slick sequin skirts and shorts, and a dramatic blue sequin gown. A finale walk filled with Gundam and Transformers-style mecha shirts made for a surreal end to the day.

paź 19 2015 Party dress codes deciphered
Komentarze: 0

Party season is upon us and the inbox starts to overflow with invitations to various fun events. It can be incredibly confusing trying to decipher the many different dress codes. You want to find something fabulous and appropriate for the occasion.

To avoid a fashion faux pas, check out my mini how-to guide for party dress codes. From there, you can tweak it to make it your own.

Black-tie

This calls for a super-sophisticated, dressed-to-the-nines, red-carpet-worthy, floor-length gown. TK Store's slinky halter-necked Berlin dress brings back old Hollywood style glamour. If you're after wow-factor then look no further.

Dress to Impress

Think ultra classy with maximum impact. A perfect choice is Camilla and Marc's colourful Spirit top and Stealing Beauty skirt. This fashion-forward look is made for hosting hip dinner parties, attending art gallery openings and basically any high-glam events.

Cocktail/After 5

When it comes to semi-formal or cocktail attire, my motto is keep it chic and simple. Dress length is always shorter here. Black Halo's tailored dress ticks all the boxes. Just add some to-die-for statement accessories and it's time to get the party started.

Dressy Resort

Maxi dresses rule here but always with a glam edge. For the wild at heart, Carlson's leopard print Harper's dress is a great bohemian choice.

Creative Cocktail

Keeping it dressy, it's now time to think outside the square. Stolen Girlfriends Club's Gather ball dress brings a bit of rock 'n' roll style into the mix. Add a leather jacket and some killer accessories and you're ready to hit the town.

Festive

Festive attire means you can add an element of fun. A shimmery fabric, razzle-dazzle sequins or, in this case, fabulous fringing, will do the trick. Liam's flapper-esque Vaudeville dress fits this brief perfectly.

Creative black-tie

Break away from the traditional ball gown and try a tailored pants ensemble instead. Staple + Cloth's Folio top and Sidney pant is a look that personifies effortless and understated chic.

With party dress codes explained, it's time to embrace the party season confidently. If in doubt, always remember "never be afraid to sparkle a little brighter, darling" and, as Coco Chanel said, as long as you always keep it "classy and fabulous", you can do no wrong.
